Install Rewind with Docker

5 min

Rewind ships as a single Docker container. If you can run one command, you can run Rewind — on a home server, a NAS or a cheap VPS.

What you'll need

  • Docker installed
  • A folder for your media (or a cloud drive)
  • Your invite access key
  1. 1Step 1

    Pull and run the container

Start Rewind with a short docker compose file, mapping a data volume for its database and your media folder.

    Open the dashboard

Browse to your server's address. The first-run setup wizard greets you.

  3. 3Step 3

    Activate with your key

Paste the access key you were emailed. Rewind verifies it and unlocks.

  4. 4Step 4

    Name your server

Give it a name, pick your region and create your admin account. That's it — Rewind is live.
